In a world where fandom meets commerce, designing a Shopify homepage for a brand as beloved and dynamic as Genshin Impact is both a challenge and an opportunity. This homepage redesign project showcases how we blended fandom emotion with conversion-driven UX/UI strategies to help our client establish a top-performing Genshin-themed online store.
Our objective was clear: design a homepage that emotionally resonates with Genshin fans while increasing product visibility, engagement, and ultimately—sales. Through character-based visuals, gamified UI, and category-rich structure, every pixel was crafted to drive loyalty and action.

Image: Adorable Genshin Plushies Awaiting Your Hugs
We opened the homepage with an irresistibly cute, character-rich banner that features a variety of plushies styled in pastel backgrounds. The visual strategy here was to immediately evoke joy and nostalgia, urging users to scroll further. The curved border, scalloped edges, and paw icons reinforce a cozy, fan-centric vibe.
Design Intent:
Image: Category Icons (Official Merch, Figures, Plushies, Cosplay, etc.)
To create an intuitive path for discovery, we implemented a row of illustrated icons, each representing a core category. These clickable elements are minimal yet playful, inviting exploration without overwhelming the user.
Design Intent:
Image: Arlecchino Merch / Yae Miko Merch / Kinuji Apparel
We placed trending character-themed collections near the top to increase fan engagement. These blocks have asymmetrical layouts and bright contrast zones that instantly draw attention.
Design Intent:
Image: Shop Genshin Impact Merchandise Tabs (Plushies, Clothes, Figures, etc.)
Our carousel features tabs that allow users to jump between categories without leaving the homepage. This reduces friction and boosts session duration.
Design Intent:
Image: New Products with Price Tags and Labels (New/Sale/Sold Out)
This section is filled with rich visuals of new arrivals. We intentionally used dynamic tags such as “New” and “Sale” for urgency, and “Sold Out” to amplify popularity.
Design Intent:
Image: Cosplay, Accessories, and Pillow Categories with Stylized Graphics
Positioned below the main listings, these graphics create emotional resonance through characters and props. They act as visual CTAs leading to themed sales pages.
Design Intent:
Image: Genshin Figures, Official Merch, Cosplay Weapon Listings
We arranged product types into grid-based modules for clean visibility and price comparison. Strategic use of whitespace makes each item more digestible.
Design Intent:
Image: Blog Previews: Banner Guide, Character Updates
Blog content plays a dual role: boosting SEO and enriching fan culture. Each card is branded with in-game artwork and high-impact headlines.
Design Intent:
Image: PayPal, Visa, MasterCard, AMEX, JCB Icons
At the footer, we reinforce transactional confidence with universal payment options. The section is crisp and recognizable.
Design Intent:
This Genshin Impact Shopify homepage demonstrates the power of tailored visual storytelling, structured navigation, and emotionally driven merchandising. Each design decision—from character theming to iconography—was crafted to transform casual fans into loyal customers.
